The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has fixed its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million and scheduled its primary election for May 25, 2026, as it gears up for the 2027 general elections.

In addition to the presidential fee, the party outlined costs for other elective positions. Governorship aspirants will pay ₦50 million, while those seeking Senate seats are to purchase forms at ₦20 million. Aspirants for the House of Representatives will pay ₦10 million, and those contesting State House of Assembly seats will pay ₦3 million.

According to the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the pricing structure reflects a deliberate and organised approach. He noted that the timetable underscores the ADC’s focus on internal democracy, proper coordination, and adherence to electoral regulations.

To encourage inclusivity, the party introduced discounts for certain groups. Youth aspirants are eligible for a 50 percent reduction in nomination fees, while women and persons with disabilities will receive a 25 percent discount.

The party’s election schedule begins with the collection of nomination forms from April 1 to May 4. This will be followed by the sale of forms from May 5 to May 10. Screening of aspirants is set for May 14 and 15.

Subsequently, National Assembly primaries will take place on May 21, with governorship primaries following on May 22. The presidential primary is slated for May 25, while a special national convention to confirm candidates will hold on May 27.

Pre-primary processes, including submission of required documents, are expected to run from April 30 to May 20, ensuring a smooth and coordinated lead-up to the primaries.
