Grammy-nominated artist Davido has expressed doubts about pursuing a political career, highlighting the difficulties celebrities often face when shifting into politics.
In a recent Twitch livestream with streamer Davrel, he shared that his achievements and reputation in the entertainment industry make him hesitant about entering the political space. Davido pointed out that many public figures who tried the transition struggled to find success.
“Earlier, I considered going into politics, but now I see it differently. All the years of hard work, the fan base, and the goodwill we’ve built make it complicated. The path for superstars moving into politics hasn’t been smooth,” he said.
He emphasized that politics is a profession in itself: “If you are a politician, that’s your business. It’s not something you can just step into from another career.”
