Nollywood’s Behind The Scenes has achieved remarkable success, grossing ₦512 million at the box office and securing its place as the highest-earning Nigerian film of 2025.
The movie had its advanced screenings on December 10 and 11, before officially premiering nationwide on December 12. FilmOne Entertainment, the film’s distributor, celebrated the milestone on Instagram, thanking cinema-goers across Nigeria and Ghana for their overwhelming support.
In their announcement, FilmOne highlighted that Behind The Scenes is not only the top-grossing Nollywood film this year but also the fastest to surpass the ₦500 million mark at the box office. They described the achievement as a testament to the audience’s faith in the story and its creators, with the film still running in cinemas.

The film, which tackles the issue of black tax, stars Scarlet Gomez in the lead role and features a star-studded cast including Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Destiny Etiko, Tobi Bakre, Uche Montana, and others such as Adebowale ‘Mr Macaroni’ and reality TV personalities Handi and Wanni Danbaki.
Earlier reports revealed that Behind The Scenes made over ₦200 million in its opening weekend, marking it as the first Nollywood movie in 2025 to reach this milestone. FilmOne also noted that it set multiple box office records during its opening weekend, including the highest admissions for any Nollywood film this year.
This success cements Behind The Scenes as a standout production in Nollywood’s 2025 cinematic landscape.
