Afrobeats artist Ruger has dismissed rumors of a feud with veteran star Davido, affirming his respect and affection for the singer. The clarification came after some of Davido’s fans accused Ruger of siding against him in the ongoing rivalry between Davido and Wizkid.
Responding on social media, Ruger made it clear that he has no issues with Davido and questioned why he would need to apologize. He asked, “Did Davido ever say I did anything wrong to him?”
Ruger went further to express his admiration, saying he loves Davido and believes the feeling is mutual. He pointed out that members of Davido’s team still share his music, which contradicts the claims of bad blood.
He emphasized that any talk of conflict is fueled by fans and rumors rather than facts, stating he would only accept there’s a problem if Davido addresses it publicly or directly to him.
“I love Davido, and I know he loves me too. People on his team still repost my stuff. I won’t believe these rumors unless he says it to my face or publicly,” Ruger wrote.
