Actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham have put long-rumoured rivalry to rest after being spotted together at the premiere of Wunmi Toriola and skit maker Kiekie’s movie.
A viral clip showed them sharing a private chat and laughing warmly, with Akindele dancing before pausing to speak with Abraham as Kiekie playfully joined in. Their reunion comes shortly after Abraham penned a heartfelt note, admitting that fan rivalry once fuelled tension but clarifying there was never genuine animosity.
She also acknowledged their past competition in Yoruba cinema and Nollywood while praising Akindele’s record-breaking success with A Tribe Called Judah. Fans have since flooded social media with celebratory messages, hailing their maturity and commitment to unity in the industry.
