Nigerian R&B sensation Tems has achieved new milestones in her career, adding multiple RIAA certifications to her growing list of accolades. Her hit single “Free Mind” has been certified 2× Platinum in the United States, having sold over 2 million units. The song also peaked at No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending an impressive 26 weeks on the chart.

Additionally, “Higher”, another track from her debut EP For Broken Ears, has reached Platinum status with 1 million units sold. Her collaboration with Brent Faiyaz, “Found”, and her BET-winning single “Me & U”, from her debut album Born In The Wild, have both earned Gold certifications from the RIAA.

Tems also made history at the 67th Grammy Awards, winning her second Grammy for Best African Music Performance, making her the first Nigerian artist to claim the award. She was also nominated in two other categories: Best Global Album and Best R&B Song, making her the first Nigerian female artist in the former and the first Nigerian artist ever nominated in the latter.

After a highly successful 2024, which saw the release of her debut LP and a sold-out world tour across Europe and North America, 2025 is shaping up to be another remarkable year for the two-time Grammy winner.
