She is motivated by a desire to highlight the limitless opportunities for exploration and adventure as a black female traveler. Pelumi hopes to showcase the richness and beauty of Africa’s breathtaking landscapes and civilizations by pushing herself to new heights and into unexplored territory. Her ultimate goal is to inspire others and motivate them to bravely and tenaciously pursue their own aspirations.

Pelumi Nubi’s influence goes well beyond her London to Lagos solo trip. She’s a well-known travel content creator from Nigeria who has captivated viewers all around the world with her incredible journeys and insatiable curiosity. At the tender age of 27, Pelumi has already traveled to an astounding 77 nations, and her list keeps growing longer.

On January 30, Pelumi Nubi began her historic voyage, departing from London to traverse many nations and continents. Her journey commenced as she crossed the English Channel, continuing through France until she reached Spain. However, it was upon crossing into Africa, specifically Morocco, that her voyage took on new significance.

Over the course of more than two months, Pelumi navigated her way through the diverse landscapes and cultures of Africa, encountering both challenges and moments of awe. Countries such as Ghana and Togo stood as the final hurdles in her remarkable expedition before she reached her ultimate destination: Lagos. The culmination of her journey in Lagos represented the fulfillment of a monumental goal she had set for herself, a testament to her perseverance and determination.

Pelumi Nubi experienced both hardship and joyful moments during her journey. While she embarked on her daring drive, rumors spread of an automobile accident she had been involved in. Her damaged car was left at the scene, and viewers caught glimpses of the aftermath through clips she shared on her TikTok account. In one particularly poignant scene captured on camera, an individual was seen on a stretcher in an ambulance, with the sound of sirens piercing the atmosphere.

Despite the challenges encountered along the way, Pelumi’s resilience and unwavering spirit propelled her forward. Her remarkable journey did not go unnoticed, as she was warmly received at the Nigeria-Benin Republic border. Representatives from the Lagos State Government, including the Honorable Commissioner of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Idris Aregbe, welcomed her with open arms, celebrating her achievement and recognizing the significance of her feat.
