Musiliu Akinsanya, known as MC Oluomo, has been sworn in as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at a ceremony held at the union’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Akinsanya, formerly the Lagos chapter chairman, was elected unopposed in a consensus decision by union leaders during a meeting held in Osogbo, Osun State, over the weekend. Delegates from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states participated in the election process.
The union’s Legal Officer, Mercy Ibeh, conducted the swearing-in ceremony, where Akinsanya was introduced to members of the National Administrative Council (NAC) and Central Working Committee (CWC). Alongside him, Tajudeen Agbede and Akeem Adeosun were sworn in as Vice President, Southwest, and Trustee.
In his address, MC Oluomo expressed gratitude to his supporters and vowed to lead the union to greater heights, attributing his leadership success to divine guidance.
