Actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji is having a remarkable season both professionally and personally. His latest movie, Lisabi: A Legend Is Born, achieved the number 1 spot on Netflix within 24 hours of its release, while his previous film, Lisabi: The Uprising, climbed to number 3 on the platform. Grateful for the success, Lateef thanked his fans for their support and urged them to keep streaming the films. For fans outside Africa, he offered an alternative on Circuit TV.
Reflecting on his journey to success in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Lateef shared how he once faced skepticism in the Yoruba movie industry, with a mentor predicting his failure within a year. Defiantly, he asked for two years to prove himself, and he has since exceeded all expectations.
He also revealed the pivotal role his wife, Bimpe Oyebade Adedimeji, has played in his life. From facing online trolls who hurled hurtful comments like calling her barren, to supporting him when others failed to stand by him during the production of Lisabi, Bimpe has been his rock.

As the couple celebrates their third traditional wedding anniversary, they continue to inspire with their enduring love. Sharing nostalgic photos and videos, Lateef expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bimpe for being his confidant and critic, promising a brighter future together. “I keep counting my blessings every day with you. Happy traditional wedding anniversary, my love. Three years feels just like yesterday!” he wrote.
Bimpe reciprocated with her own loving words, celebrating their journey and how far they’ve come. “Happy traditional wedding anniversary, my king. Three years feels just like yesterday! I love you more and more with each passing day,” she wrote.
