The Federal Government has extended the ongoing recruitment exercise into Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies by one week. Initially set to close on Monday, August 4, 2025, the recruitment portal will now remain open until Monday, August 11, 2025.
This extension affects applications into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS). The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) made the announcement in a statement issued in Abuja by its Secretary, Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin (rtd).

According to the Board, the one-week extension is aimed at giving more Nigerians the opportunity to apply for enlistment into any of the paramilitary services or the Board itself. Applicants are urged to use only the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng , as the process is entirely free of charge.
The CDCFIB reiterated its commitment to a transparent and fair recruitment process, warning applicants to avoid fraudulent platforms and individuals. The extension underscores the government’s effort to ensure inclusiveness and equal opportunity for all interested candidates.
