Following Afreximbank’s recent investment in his C.R.E.A.M Platform, global entertainer and tech entrepreneur D’banj has launched the Nigerian Youth Positively Driven (NYPD) initiative, calling on Nigerians nationwide to participate. The announcement was made during the UN@80 celebrations in Abuja, alongside the unveiling of the Creative Alliance for Peace.
The NYPD movement encourages Nigerians to share stories of positive actions, inspiring initiatives, and impactful community efforts through an online portal. Participants featured on the platform have the chance to win a ₦1,000,000 grant, while those who upload content can earn ₦250,000 weekly, making it one of Nigeria’s largest ongoing reward programs focused on positive social impact.
After rewarding contributors, the platform forwards selected stories to the Creative Alliance for Peace. This group focuses on expanding and developing projects, particularly those promoting renewable energy and sustainability to benefit communities across Nigeria.

D’banj described the initiative as a national effort to shift focus away from negativity and highlight authentic stories that reflect Nigeria’s potential. He emphasized the importance of supporting the creative industry, stating, “Content is the nation’s biggest export, yet strong platforms for youth support remain scarce.”
He added, “Africa leads in creativity, but we’ve only tapped a fraction of its potential. The NYPD movement aims to unite positively driven youths and amplify their voices for greater impact.” The initiative seeks to empower young Nigerians to drive change and showcase the country’s true story of progress.
