Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has stirred controversy with his new diss track titled “ACL”, taken from his recently released 16-track album No Excuses, which dropped on Friday, October 17, 2025.
The track, now trending across social media, is a fiery declaration of lyrical war. Blaqbonez delivers sharp verses aimed at fellow rapper Odumodublvck, accusing him of chasing clout, faking industry support, and prioritising online drama over real music. He raps, “Make dem no tear their ACL ’cause they wan flow like Blaq / Failed rappers turning to internet gangsters,” followed by, “Anti-World? More like anti-success” — a line many fans believe targets Odumodublvck’s Anti-World Gang.
According to fans, the song’s title ACL cleverly symbolises Odumodublvck’s alleged failed attempt to match Blaqbonez’s artistry, likened to a footballer injuring their ligament while trying to copy another player’s move. The diss portrays Odumodublvck as attention-hungry and desperate for validation, reigniting their long-standing feud.

Their rivalry dates back to February 2025, when Odumodublvck claimed that no rap album could rival his 2023 project Eziokwu. Tensions escalated further at the Headies Awards in April, where he was reportedly seen flashing a middle finger in Blaqbonez’s direction.
Beyond ACL, No Excuses showcases Blaqbonez’s creative evolution, featuring collaborations with Phyno, Olamide, Bella Shmurda, Pa Salieu, and Young Jonn, and production credits from Jae5, Magicsticks, Blaisebeatz, and Black Culture. The rapper describes the project as his “Super Saiyan era,” marking a period of artistic freedom, experimentation, and global ambition.
Outside music, Blaqbonez continues to make waves in fashion. He recently became the first Nigerian artiste to walk the runway for Vivienne Westwood and was spotted at Vetements, MAINS, and Labrum shows in Europe.
Meanwhile, Odumodublvck, whose fifth studio album Industry Machine dropped on October 6 and topped Apple Music Nigeria, has yet to publicly respond. As fans dissect each lyric of ACL, many are urging him to reply in the studio rather than online, as the battle for Nigeria’s rap supremacy intensifies.
