Head Of Department (Science & Culture)

 

Christian is a driven undergraduate student pursuing a diverse range of academic interests at Johns Hopkins University. He is currently majoring in Biology, with two minors in Business, and Film & Media Studies (critique track). His academic track is focused on the topics of environmental sciences, ecology, evolutionary anthropology, and mammalian evolution.

Beyond his academic pursuits, he is also passionate about the relationship between the environment with economic development and business management practices; How the economy and select STEM oriented businesses function to stimulate conservation, sustainable development, and investment. At present, he is actively involved in a research study on innovation and technology management at the Laboratory for Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge.

In addition to his scientific endeavours, Christian is an avid cinephile. His love for films has not only enriched his perspective on storytelling and visual aesthetics but also honed his writing skills. Through thought-provoking reviews and papers, he delves into various aspects of cinematography and film theory, ranging from the intricate world of Mise-en-scène to philosophical ideologies. His passion for writing extends to his academic studies, ensuring that his exploration of scientific topics is conveyed with clarity and eloquence.

With an inquisitive mind and a dedication to learning, Christian seeks to make meaningful contributions in both the scientific and humanities realms. His multidisciplinary approach is anchored in the belief that he can create a positive impact, fostering a better understanding of the world through his pursuits of academia and beyond.
